Announcement of Joint Venture from MGA

Missouri Golf Association and Missouri Women’s Golf Association

Joint Venture to grow the game of Golf in Missouri

Happy Holidays from the staff and Board of Directors of the Missouri Golf Association!  I hope this letter finds each of you enjoying the holiday season with family and friends.

I'm sure you have heard the good news of the joint venture that will begin on January 1, 2012 between the MGA and the MWGA.  We are very excited and looking forward to this new agreement between both associations.

My purpose in reaching out to you today is to let you know how much the Missouri Golf Association is looking forward to helping the MWGA run its programs and services.  Our goal is to assist you, and help to ensure the utmost efficiency and level of service your members already enjoy.  You should also know that with this agreement, decisions regarding how the MWGA is run will still be made by your Board of Directors.  The MGA Board of Directors will have no control over the decisions you make, we are merely here to assist and make both associations the best they can be.

Also with this agreement, the MWGA has been approved for a USGA Boatwright intern for four months of the year.  This intern will be a huge asset to your association each year, and I encourage you to take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity to assist your association, and also help a young person grow, learn & prosper.

I am looking forward to this joint partnership growing stronger each year.  My goal as the Executive Director of the Missouri Golf Association is to provide the best services and programs for all golfers in the state of Missouri every year, and strive to be the best golf association in the country.   I look forward to seeing and meeting each of you this upcoming year around this great state of Missouri.

Until I see you on the first tee!

Sincerely,

Scott Hovis
Executive Director
Missouri Golf Association
