All
pairings are handled by two or more board members to ensure fairness.
All pairings are done with consideration for the best mix of high
and low handicap players and the best mix of club members. Each
club calling in shall be represented by a minimum of three players.
PREFERRED
TIMING PLAYERS: Preferred timing players consist of Executive
Board members, Past Presidents and 50-year Honorees, the Historian
and the Prize Chair. They will randomly be paired with other players
for an individual call in event. In foursome call in events, these
players MUST play with other preferred-timing players. If they elect
to play with women not included in the above list, they FORFEIT
THEIR PREFERRED STATUS and risk the lottery with all other groups.
OPENING
DAY: If the opening is a foursome call in, and there are
too many groups that want to play, a lottery system will be employed.
Any players “bumped” will have
priority for closing day if three of the four original players play
together and they are called in by the CD as a priority group. If
opening is an individual call in and a player is “bumped”,
she shall have priority at the very next individual event.
OTHER
BEST BALLS: If a lottery is necessary for an individual
event and a player is pulled out, she will be placed on a list and
called in the event of cancellations. If that player is called,
WHETHER SHE ACCEPTS OR DECLINES, she will NOT be considered “bumped”
for that event. Players not called will be given priority ONLY for
the very next individual event, and must notify her CD to call her
in and report that she has priority. Every attempt will be made
to keep accurate records of “lotteried” players. Three-Day
Medal, Tournament of a Lifetime, the Susan E. Shepherd Memorial
Tournament and the Senior Tournament lotteries will be handled in
the same manner.
CLOSING
DAY: There will be NO carry-overs from this event unless
the field is filled from carry-over players from opening day and
someone pulled from opening is also pulled for closing. This should
not happen. |
