2009 AMATEUR CHAMPION CHELSEA SCHRIEWER	2009 MWGA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP The Club at Old Hawthorne ~ Columbia, MO July 14 - 16 The Club at Old Hawthorne was the scene of a magnificient victory played by the current MWGA Champion, Miss Chelsea Schriewer. Her final round of 66 sealed her victory...and in that fantastic round on a difficult, long course was her first hole in one. Her determination and focus were truly amazing. In many ways she was preparing herself for her entry into the USGA Women's Amateur Championship, having qualified earlier at the St. Charles qualifying site, Missouri Bluffs. Final Results and More
CINDY HAUTER MID MISSOURI WINNER	MID MISSOURI WINNER The Mid Missouri Tournament finished on Thursday with Cindy Hauter of St. Louis winning the trophy with a total score of 256. Rebecca Highland of Columbia played well and earned second place. Flight B was won by Jane Townsend of Arnold, MO; Flight C was won by Mary Ragan of Columbia. Final Results
KAREN JOHNSON 2009 "BERNIE"	THE BERNICE EDLUND AWARD The 2009 Bernice Edlund Award was presented to Karen Johnson at her home course with her family and friends sharing the event during the Amateur Championship at The Club at Old Hawthorne. It was a fitting tribute to a person who has continued to promote the aims of this association with her camera, her online notes and updates, her dedication to the game of golf...and much more that truly symbolizes a "BERNIE" recipient.

2009 JUNIOR CHAMPION KATE GALLAGHER	2009 MWGA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP A. L. Gustin Golf Course ~ Columbia, MO June 11 - 12 The 49th Missouri Women's Golf Association's Junior Championship was held this week at A.L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia, MO. Forty two players competed on the par 71 course over two days. First round scores qualified the players for flights in their age groups for second round play. All ages played the 5,637 yard course. 2009 SENIOR CHAMPION Mary Ann Beattie 2009 LOW NET WINNER Kimi Chinn Rother	2009 SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP The Deuce at National ~ Kansas City, MO MAY 19 - 20 Fun and Friendship at the Deuce Slideshow Championship Slideshow The Missouri Women's Golf Association completed the Senior Women's Amateur Championship last week at The Deuce at The National in Kansas City. Mary Ann Beattie of Chesterfield captured her first Senior Women's Amateur title after besting nine time champion Barbara Berkmeyer this year. Harriette Myers of New Madrid couldn't improve on her opening tying round of 80 to mount any charge on day two. Mary Ann Beattie is a member of the Country Club of St. Albans and a recent National Club Champions title holder. SCRAMBLE WINNERS Jackie Rosen, Ginny Orthwein	2009 TWO LADY SCRAMBLE WingHaven Country Club ~ O'Fallon, MO SEPTEMBER 23 - 24 At times we had a bit of rain but the course was ready for us. The ground crew did a terrific job to keep us playing...and play we did. Jackie Rosen and Ginny Orthwein had a fight to the end with defending champions, Pat Hutton and Stephany Powell.
